I think I heard a crab say, "Remember when this place used to be secluded???"

More new creatures in the tank! One is a lettuce sea slug (sometimes called a nudibranch, but it is not really a nudibranch). And no Limpy, Phollower, and Zoe - a nudibranch has nothing to do with anything being nude. Here it is on our dirty back tank wall:

We also got two cleaner shrimp. One is called a Scarlet Lady Shrimp. Here it is on a rock in the tank:

Another is called a Blood Red Fire Shrimp. This one is still being a bit shy so I included a hyperlink to a picture on the web.

And one more bit of good news - the blue-legged crab we had not seen since Saturday showed up today. Who knows where he went. Maybe he was on vacation in Hawaii? Maybe he went to visit his aunt Zoe (who is terrified of fish)!

Don't even joke about the crab visiting me. BP is still trying to talk me into getting an octopus, and I'm just sure the damn thing would get out of it's tank, climb up the stairs, and eat my face off.

Zoe: Maybe you'd get lucky and the octopus would eat something else - They seem dexterous and all those suckers have to be good for something!

That's right lk, our tank is 55 gallons of hot, naked love. You really should stop by more often...

I love the lettuce slug. I wonder if he's crunchy?

Did you see the description on the wikipedia page you link to, about the blood red fire shrimp?

"L. debelius can be self-assertive, militant, and become territorial if more than two are placed inside an aquarium. It will however become depressed and less active if not placed with a mate."

So basically that shrimp's hard to get along with, but he wants to get laid, too.

O'Butter: The guys at the fish store said he is ok with other shrimp (not of his type) but not to put more than one in the tank. So I guess he can have a go at the Scarlet Lady. She sounds easy enough, huh?

That's pretty cool. I think I could probably sit and watch a tank like that for hours.
