I keep my car keys in a particular drawer. I never put them anywhere else. That way, when I need them, I don't have to search for them. If they are not in the drawer, I know that you know who was using them. A few weeks ago....
Me (looking in the "key" drawer): Honey, do you know where my car keys are?
Phollower: Yes, they are in my jacket pocket, which I realize is strictly verboten.
I started laughing so hard, I just couldn't stay mad at him.

My truck lives in the garage with the keys in the ignition, drives Ty CRAZY. On the rare occasion I carry the keys into the house it takes me days to remember where I put them.
So put them in a "Key Drawer". I promise I won't put them in my jacket.
