Cool FREE music site

This site has tons of live songs performed by cool, lesser known bands (and some better known ones). All free downloads, directly into iTunes. So easy.

Check out the music from Big Head Todd and the Monsters, one of my favorite bands.


They also have Ingrid Michaelson who has a beautiful voice. I think some of the songs on the site were on Grey's Anatomy.

Liz Phair

Exile in Guyville came out remastered this summer with a DVD about people involved in inspiring and making the album. Left of Center on Sirius has been playing a pretty cool special with Liz Phair about the album, her writing of the album, the aftermath of its popularity, etc. I really love Liz Phair's old music, and this album. Here is my favorite song (for the lyrics, so I chose a link with the lyrics). THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

The Great Lake Swimmers

Here is another great song. I don't like some of the other songs I have heard by this band. But I love this song. The sex - mountain climbing theme is really unique and well written. I think it is a really romantic song.

Vampire Weekend
